Audience marketers, here are 5 ideas you can use now to reach out to your customers. I think letting our customers know how we can help them will keep us all focus and move forward.
- Repurpose online content. Tell your customers how you can help them NOW (and I don’t mean copy the appx. 518 emails I got about COVID-19). I mean, what can you offer that your customers can use to keep engaged: white papers, research, magazines, recorded webinars and live event sessions.
- Expect more web traffic, if you can promote your brands. Does your platform have the capabilities to tag what people download? Converting unknown site visitors to knowing their interests can help you to better understand WHY people come to your site, create new products, and better craft your future messages.
- If you have paid gated content that anxious consumers can use today, consider making some of this free. If you change it to open access or free-gated content, you might be able to turn these visitors into paid customers in the future.
- Can you host a webinar or virtual event, discussing specifically today’s events impact their markets? People are clamoring for business/marketing/workplace advice, so having co-sponsored online event might help bring you some income.
- Expect the unexpected. We are all in an unknown work environment now.
